Leah Berry, CPA Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer

Ms. Berry oversees the internal financial reporting for Mutual of America Capital Management, as well as serving as the SVP, Controller of Mutual of America Life Insurance Company, overseeing internal and external Financial Reporting, Operational, Corporate and Investment Accounting, and Tax Compliance. 

Leah joined Mutual of America Life Insurance Company in January 2024 and was appointed as SVP, Chief Financial Officer of Mutual of America Capital Management in May 2025. 

Prior to joining Mutual of America Life Insurance Company, Leah began her career in audit at KPMG LLP in 2013, where she spent almost 10 years in Jacksonville, Florida, Atlanta, Georgia, and New York, New York. During her time at KPMG LLP, Leah was promoted to Audit Senior Manager and spent her time working on both public and private insurance company audits. Additionally, she spent time auditing non-profit, higher education, and manufacturing clients. In 2023, Leah transitioned to advisory to work in the accounting advisory services practice as a Director, specifically focusing on insurance & ESG technical accounting and reporting.

Leah received her Master of Accountancy (2013) and Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting (2011) from the University of North Florida. Leah is a Certified Public Accountant in New York and Georgia.
