Ron Viener Senior Vice President, Head of Trading and Middle Office

Mr. Viener is Head of Trading and leads the Middle Office team at Mutual of America Capital Management LLC. He also serves as Portfolio Manager for the MoA Equity Index Fund, MoA Mid Cap Equity Index Fund, MoA Small Cap Equity Index Fund, MoA Catholic Values Index Fund, and the MoA All America Fund.

With over 25 years of experience in asset management and investing, Mr. Viener has held leadership roles spanning trading, operations, investor relations, and research.  Prior to joining Mutual of America Capital Management in 2020, he served as Vice President of Investor Relations at ICR, where he represented consumer-focused small-cap public companies. Previously, he was a Partner and Director of Research & Trading at Daruma Capital Management. Earlier in his career, Mr. Viener began as an Associate at Bear Stearns, started trading equities at Citigroup, and went on to hold senior trading and analyst roles at Millennium Management and CastleRock Management.

Mr. Viener earned a Master of Business Administration from New York University, specializing in Finance and Financial Instruments & Markets, and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University at Albany, SUNY.

He is actively involved in his community as a coach and local volunteer.
